Use your phone camera with Windows over Wi-Fi.

What you need

• A Windows laptop running a current version of Chrome or Edge.
• A phone with a browser that supports camera and microphone capture.
• Both devices on the same Wi-Fi, with device-to-device traffic allowed.
• Internet access to load the site and use the hosted pairing service.

Connect the camera

1. Open RoluxLabs Studio on your laptop.
2. Choose Connect other device · Wi-Fi, then select Pair device or Connect other device.
3. Scan the private QR code using your phone and open the link.
4. Tap Start camera on the phone and allow camera and microphone access.
5. Keep that page visible and the phone unlocked. Check that the studio preview becomes live.

Choose your camera settings

Start with 1080p at 30 fps. Choose the front or back lens and use zoom only if the device exposes it. Higher settings, including 4K and 60 fps, are requests to the browser rather than guarantees; the phone, browser, and network determine the actual capture settings.

Reconnect next time

The laptop browser remembers pairing for up to 30 days. Bookmark the private phone link and reopen it next time. Clearing cookies or replacing the pairing requires a new QR scan. Do not share your device link.

Is this a webcam for Zoom or Teams?

The current browser product provides a camera inside RoluxLabs Studio. It does not install a Windows virtual camera driver and cannot appear as a system webcam in other desktop applications. Use it to create recordings in the studio.

Which devices work?

The connection is not limited to iPhone. A compatible Android or other camera browser can use the same pairing flow. Exact device models, external microphone support, and browser versions still need real-device testing. A Windows webcam can be selected directly without phone pairing.

Why must the phone page stay open?

Mobile browsers can suspend camera capture when their page is hidden or the phone locks. Installing the website as a shortcut does not remove that operating-system restriction.
